Travelin’ to Nashville: Music City. Sweet Soul.

I could tell you for days about what the standard Nashville experience should be when you visit…

Listening to famous or upcoming musicians at the Bluebird

Munching on buttered biscuits with dreamy jam at the Loveless

Or waking up to the most delectable chocolate chip pancakes at Pancake Pantry

And of course it would be just fabulous! But, I thought I would let you in on where the locals go and my favorite picks that are a bit off the straight path…enjoy!

Caffe Nonna:

A Nashville gem that serves homemade pastas, fresh meats, and savory desserts which taste even better than the amazing aromas drifting around the restaurant (if that’s possible!). My family has been dining there for years, and I make it a top priority to drop in every time I visit home…

My favorite Caffé Nonna dishes: Seafood Angelina and the daily flavor of their locally famous Ricotta cheesecake (the caramel is to die for!)

The Patterson House:

A hidden speakeasy-like hot spot. Refreshing, innovative, and creative drinks.

My favorite cocktail: the Juliet and Romeo!

Retropolitan:

If you enjoy the 7th floor of Bergdorf’s filled with unique pieces for your home like I do then you will love this store! It beholds an eclectic mix of furniture and interesting trinkets to make any ordinary living space into something spectacular.

The Dotted Line:

The store is just as lovely as the name! This place is known for their chic stationary and paper goods. It’s the perfect place to buy a thoughtful gift…or to splurge for yourself!

The Perfect Pair:

Created by Whitney Dunn, the daughter of Brooks & Dunn’s Ronnie Dun, and Casey Stribling, this place has the most fashionable mix of shoes in town. The frequent sales aren’t shabby either….and fact it’s within walking distance to The Dotted Line!

Virago:

One word to describe this joint would be: Hotspot. It is the place to be seen in town at the moment.

Ideal for a girls night out or an intimate dinner date with your special someone, this place continues to satisfy its loyal customers. My favorite sushi roll?: The Bomb! Although the waiters do not speak of it, venture into the private club there post-dinner (after hours of course…).

Percy Warner Park:

Growing up in Nashville, my family would take walks together with our chocolate labs (Mr. Jack and Miss Jane) every Sunday in Warner Park.

It’s just beautiful, and has best hiking trails and walking paths in town!

Whiskey Kitchen:

This place is the ideal spot to begin your night out on the town. Centrally located in the hip Gulch area, you never know whether your night could lead to downtown Honky-Tonkin’ or a chill bar on Music Row!

Woo Skincare and Cosmetics:

Makeup. Pajamas. Fabulous accessories. What more could a girl ask for? I’ve  grown up with this store with getting my makeup done by Diana before Winter Formals or Proms, getting my eyebrows waxed for the first time, and I still love to visit every time I’m in town.

There is something for every princess inside!

Nashville always has something exciting going on while I’m visiting…this time? Lady Gaga was in town!

My good friend, Pete, and I decided to hit it up. The best part besides Gaga’s famous vocals were the extravagant costumes of her fans!

Nashville is a city filled of soul, class, and one heck of a music scene. Grab a cowboy hat and head to the South to see for yourself!
