Tie The Knot With Ron Ben-Israel Cakes

Some brides splurge on their dress. Some brides splurge on their venue. Others, splurge on their cake! And I’m all over that sugary detail. Hola. And even though I am not even nearly close to having the wedding bells chime, I was ecstatic when Ron of Ron Ben-Israel Cakes invited me into his Soho bakery, and get an inside look + behind the scenes tour of where his famous cakes are created.

When I first walked in, I was not only overwhelmed by the delicious aroma, but the detailed cakes staring at me! All were so perfect, bespoke, and elegantly chic.

Ron guided me into their kitchen where his little elves were working away…flowers, sculpting, slicing, creative galore!

The flowers immediately caught my eye. They all looked so real! When Ron said they were edible, it was a must I took a bite into one just to make sure…and indeed, they were a sugar bite crunch of yum!

As seen in Martha Stewart to InStyle to Oprah, Ron Ben-Israel Cakes are the Hermes of cakes in this sugary world. All unique and created specifically for each customer! Not one is the same in here.

After I was already in a cake-ful heaven, we went back out to his main office for me to act like a bride-to-be and test all of the cake and icing options to see which I love the most!

And to be quite honest, they were all fabulous. The icing choices of chocolate, the passion fruit, the vanilla…mixed with his famous cake choices…it was a hard decision to be made! More bites were needed, of course. Just to make sure.

Being the Southern girl I am, I just about fell off of my seat when I took my first bites into his vanilla almond cake with its caramel icing. This, my friends, was a done deal decision!

Whether you’ve just been proposed to {oh yes, I saw my first this past Sunday at Jean Georges…one day!} or just want to plan all things fabulous before you even find your Prince Charming, take a sugary look into the magical world of Ron Ben-Israel Cakes. It’s a must to tie the knot with the cream of the crop! B+H
