Mannerly Monday: Do Unto Others…

When your teased bouffant is very much a part of your every day life, you can imagine my devastation as I was combing my fingers through my hair yesterday only to find a dollop of gum in the back. Oh yes, that happened. I don’t know how and I don’t know where, but that little wad landed smack jab in the back of my killer tease. And although I could have easily flipped, gotten out the scissors, and cut the little guy out, I decided to follow my best friend’s lead and go straight to the professionals. Hola, Drybar!

essentials to keep calm and carry on…even with gum in your hair

When we walked in and explained the situation to their assistant manager, Sarah, the look on her face was more than priceless. And by the reactions of other blowout professionals, I knew the Audrey Hepburn look maybe one I would have to adapt immediately. Luckily, Sarah drenched her fingers in Moroccan Oil, and handed me + Ryan both mimosas. Can we say needed? Hola! They even turned on the Sex and the City movie as a distraction while my hair surgery was in action. This was a Mannerly Monday MUST with the saying “do unto others…” – bonjour! The entire team made us both feel calm and right at home.

lets just say this senorita was not a happy camper, but i totally tried to deal with the situation the best way possible

all is good in the world with morrocan oil + mimoas right about now!

In no time, Sarah tapped me on the shoulder and said all of the gum was out! I was beyond excited to not only walk out with all of my locks in tacked, but also getting a blowout on the go before a girls dinner post surgery.

and i got a blowout in the mix…hola!

Whether you happen to get into this situation in the future or ever need advice for all things hair, I totally suggest high tailing it over to Drybar. They are officially the Bouffant ER in my eyes!
