Known for its upbeat colors, unique patterns and Finnish fabrics, Marimekko is one lifestyle brand not to miss. But, what is Marimekko? Oh darling…The name Marimekko is a play on words, yet completely descriptive. Mari is an anagram of the founder’s first name, Armi Ratia, while mekko means dress in Finnish. And it was indeed Mari’s dresses that started it all. Created 50+ years ago with their dresses being the cat’s meow of the brand, Marimekko has since then grown into a mecca of creating high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles and a plethora of bags and accessories. So when I was brainstorming places to go pick up some hostess gifts + Casa Blanca accents, this place was my first stop to prance on into! Plus, with all of their vibrant colors matching this sunny Spring, what’s not to love? Hola!
