Strengthen. Lengthen. Tone.

After completing a 30 day Bikram Yoga challenge this past month, I’ve been on the search for the perfect workout class to not only keep my body yoga-toned, but to keep my muscles not bulky. Well, thanks to write-ups like this Betches Love This article, all showcasing how impressed everyone was with their toned up + slender figure post SLT classes, it was a must I high-tailed it on over too. It’s described as “if cardio, strength training, and Pilates had a baby.” Hola!

killing it on the SLT megaformer

One of my friends recently told me, “when you go to a workout class, look around and observe the regular’s bodies…because that’s what yours is going to be eventually looking like too.” And when I walked into my first SLT class, I did just that. They were all dancer + model thin, taking classes every other day or so, and were amazing at this hardcore {I just about flew off the Megaformer my first time. Oh, yes} workout. Obviously, I want my Beyonce to shape up and eventually look like those girls behind’s! So, I’ve gone back quite a bit since and have already seen a transformation. #holahamptons

Amanda Freeman, who founded SLT post Harvard Business School in search of Megaformer {not Pilates} classes in NYC, has watched the business strategically blow up. And now SLT has a whopping 6 studios, opened 365 days a year for 13 hours a day. Bonjour!

Not only is SLT amazing to go with your girls to your boyfriend, but it’s actually the hardest workout I’ve ever jumped into. So don’t expect to walk out ready to go back to the gym for another workout the same day…you will be sore for a few days after the first class!
