I have to admit, when it comes to hosting a dinner party for more than just you and your Romeo, the hardest part about entertaining your guests is doing just that on top of preparing, cooking and serving the dishes…while trying to catch up with them all and enjoy the evening too! Well, a solution has finally come to my attention. Ahem! It’s just about that time we all said Bonjour + Hola to the coolest culinary kid on the block: Kitchensurfing.
Allowing you to not only choose your menu, but your chef too, Kitchensurfing has transformed my whole view on hosting dinners from now on! Why? Oh darling, I used this one a kind service this past week, and I have to admit, it’s totally life hanging and hostess must!
Well, after hearing all of my friends in the Cape last weekend raving about how cool the service was, this señorita booked a spontaneous dinner for six! And trust me, it was all absolutely seamless. Running in the door after a long day of work and cleaning the whole Casa looking straight ahead at me, the last thing I wanted to do was adding the task of cooking a meal on top of it all with friends coming over right then and there! So when I heard a knock on the door 5-10 min ahead of booked schedule, I was immediately relieved. The chef politely made himself at home, unpacked the ingredients and began the cooking process while I was running around doing last minute little bits! Did I mention he cleaned up after the cookin’ too? Bonjour.
So by the time the first guest rang the bell, I was dressed, the Casa was clean and there was even a chef in my kitchen working away. No big deal!
Plus, our menu that evening was just fabulous. Totally Mediterranean inspired. Between Lamb and Beef Polpette with Tabouleh, quinoa with mixed veggies and grilled pita, all of my guests {even a vegetarian at hand!} were beyond pleased!
