When you bring a Southerner to NYC, it’s almost like a box of chocolates…you never know what you’re going to get! And being a Southerner, I can totally say that with my teased bouffant held high, y’all. But when you bring the craftsmanship, the heritage, and the fine talent of a Southerner to the city, you get one talented designer who knows exactly how to combine timeless construction with modern design. And that would be the one + only, Billy Reid. Hola!
Providing clothing and accessories inspired by his uniquely Southern prospective, Billy Reid is one brand a Southern belle {+ gents} obviously can’t overlook. And when I heard Billy Reid + Coach were collaborating to make a distinct line of accessories to be carried in both stores across the US, I was all.over.it.
So when Coach invited Bonjour + Hola to help toast their new Billy Reid collaboration, it was an event this Southern belle couldn’t miss! And right when I walked through their Bleecker Street doors, I immediately felt right at home above the dixon line…between the friendly faces + southern highlights + a bourbon tasting, I was in heaven! Hola.
And obviously, the bourbon tasting was a huge hit! Trying new flavors + brews? Um, yes please! This chica just had the best time discussing favorite bourbon picks with their bartender before diving into a world of pure attention to design detail!

I got to meet the man, the myth, the Southern legend himself: Billy Reid!
Taking in this modern approach to American luxury and cultured with Southern dandyism, it was hard to pick one favorite over another! The entire collection looked fabulous and portrayed what both brands were all about: craftsmanship + quality+ heritage.
