Inspired From The Master of the Craft

From the moment I met my good friend, Francois Payard, three years ago at a foodie Harvard Club event, it has been an incredible ride of all things filled with culinary fun to spontaneity at its finest! But between him throwing me into his Soho bakery oven to us recently filming a top secret Payard launch {out November 1st}, it’s easy to say our friendship has been anything but ordinary…and I’ve loved every minute of it! And although both of us have seen each other go from creating a project, building it through hard work, and reaching the climax of creating a memorable accomplishment, the most recent is one I not only get to rave about to friends, but learn from in my own kitchen! Hola.

Francois Payard has recently released his latest book titled Payard Desserts, which gives an expert insight on baking in general, cooking essentials, advice on creating his most astounded desserts, and my personal favorite of pictures + recipes on top of it all. These recipes have been developed and perfected by Payard for over twenty years, from his early days as a pastry chef in France to his current position as an American culinary icon. But what’s an exciting moment like this without a party to celebrate? Bonjour!

behind the scenes at the payard event last night

Last night, we all came out to celebrate Francois and his new book! And between surrounded by all things truffle {I’m talking from truffle sliders to white + black truffled macarons!}, sweet + divine desserts, and savory chic {even sushi was present!}. It was instantly a night to remember.

savory + sweet galore

um…yes, please!

With the champagne glasses clinging on the minute to various foods constantly being served, lets just say I was one happy señorita being surrounded by all things I love with a expert of culinary fabulous on top, of course.

good times + great friends
