An Evening Of Casa Bakesby Blanca

When I walked into Casa Blanca after work, I was so excited to focus on the last minute touches of Cheers, Old Sports! I set up a ton of LED lights under all of the tables + hallways + kitchen galore. It was a whole other world that night! Plus, I think we all know darker lighting {with a little candle, of course} always features everyone the best. Hola!

The three champagne towers were sturdy, the tinsel and glitz accents were perfectly in their spots, and suddenly, I heard a knock on the door an hour before the party was scheduled to begin. It was Wilma! To back up for a minute, I thought it would be a hit to hire a Gypsy to give tarot card readings to guests who wanted to slip away from a vibrant crowd. And she was just perfect!

Before Wilma had arrived, I placed a green scarf on a huge lamp in my bedroom to make the corner of my room her place for the evening. It was the best spot for her to be away from the loud music, recite guests their future and be able to have her space! Oh Wilma, I do wish you could have stayed longer, sugar.

the best bartender + camera senorita, ever

Setting the scene up front was my go-to bartender for every soirée I throw, Matan! If you’re ever in need of a great right hand man, I highly suggest any of the reps over at Columbia Bartending Agency. Best part? His sweet friend had just stepped off the plane from Israel and offered to help out as well! I put her by the elevator to take pictures of the guest arrivals and guide them on picking up their wine coasters + balloons. Hola!

The decor looked just as I had imagined with the LED lights flowing! It was so mystical + totally all Gatsby-like.

Payard was gracious enough to send over a ton of my favorite macarons for the sweet + savory nibble table!

I could die happy having these bad boys as my last meal…that phenom y’all!

All of the Minted party decor flowed with the scene glamorously

I thought it would be cute to have a sign on the entry basket that read there’s always time to blow before a show – You can read that any way you would like hunny!

red carpet in my hallway, oh yes.

Now this is where my hard work preparing gets thrown out the window…it’s officially party time! And since Gatsby always had elaborate gatherings, I didn’t even double guess myself on having a red carpet for the arrivals. Totally perfect to capture all of the gorgeous looks!

Overall, the Cheers, Old Sports soirée was just fabulous. Between the guests flaunting their flapper + dapper looks to champagne overflow, it was quite a night! And whether you’re looking to enhance your own party or get inspired on what to serve, look no further than to Minted for decor + Payard for sweet bites + Kendall Jackson for delectable poisons. All three literally turned Casa Blanca into Casa Bakesby Blanca! Hola.
