Main Street in Beacon, NY

Tasting fall on such a beautiful day in Beacon, NY was one memorable experience. Leaves changing into vibrant colors, green grass, bright blue sky…I was one happy girl!

While walking down Main Street, my good friend, Katie, and I found three spots that we absolutely fell in love with {this post is an extension of the post: “Trainin’ to Beacon” before this one}: Homespun Foods, Alps Sweet Shop, & Clay Wood & Cotton.

Our favorites from these three?:

1.

Homespun Foods

We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant by peeking inside the main door. But once we walked through and discovered their was a secret garden in the back to sit we were sold on eating here. Every dish was tasteful and delicious…we were taken aback!

Harvest Salad

Moroccan Red Pepper Soup

Quiches {the one with asparagus and leeks was delicious!}

Turkey Sandwich {it was a special for that day and had fresh cheese, avocado, & tomato inside}

Middle Eastern Platter

When a customer orders, they are given a plastic vegetable for their waiters to know where to serve the appropriate food. We got a carrot!

Everyone in the kitchen was so nice and talented!

2.

Alps Sweet Shop

Watching the cooks in their back room was lovely, especially with the vibrant chocolate smell overwhelming me, but tasting their irresistible chocolates was even better! I couldn’t keep my hands off of their homemade Choco Chips and Chocolate Truffles…

3.

Clay Wood & Cotton

My weak spot would be anything revolving around entertaining. When we walked by this cute shop, it was a must that we went inside. Known for their fabulous kitchen towels, every product sold inside is delicate and well-placed!

Meeting new people. Exploring new sites. Being open to new flavors. I strive to keep an open mind every new place I visit! Beacon, NY….it was enchanting to meet you!
