Hikin’, Aussiein’, Fro-Yoin’!

I woke up the next morning in my totally girlie hotel suite {“hola” got bumped up when I checked in with all smiles!} bright-eyed and fancy free looking over the beautiful Hollywood hills!

The Mondrian was the most convenient hotel for me to stay in to be close to my boys, and thanks to Jetsetter I didn’t have to break open my porcelain piggy bank to do it! Not only was the hotel incredibly hip and happening, but the service was impeccable! I would instantly give this place an A+ 100.

Steps away from my beloved, SoulCycle, I started the day off with a great sweat and an extra kick from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf {ice blended, please and thank you!}.

Lucy + Lala

The boys picked me up with their adorable corgis, Lucy and Lala, and we all headed to the Runyon Canyon! Best part about it? You can socialize, tone up your bum AND get a tan…all at the same time! It reminded me of being in Nashville with all of the friendly people stopping to say hola and pet the babies!

One of the best qualities I love most about Troy is his attention to detail and his love of making all things beautiful. His creative talent surfaced once again when he showed me his beautiful garden on our drive back. Before we pulled up I thought, “A garden? In Los Angeles? No way!” Lets just say when Troy puts his mind to something, he doesn’t finish it until it’s beautiful with unexpected finishing touches. I couldn’t believe he created this entire garden from bare soil! He now has a plethora of lavender, roses, vegetables, etc.! We decided to snip a few of the greens for his Easter birthday brunch {you will see what he created on a future post this week!}.

Remember my previous posts about Kingswood in NYC? Well their sister restaurant, The Eveleigh, opened in Los Angeles, so when Troy + Craig asked if I wanted to go there for dinner my response was an instant “yes!!” And I’m so glad we did! It was covered in green vines, my favorite exposed light bulbs dangling and their dishes were perfectly prepared with an Aussie touch!

My favorite was their Roasted Half Jidori Chicken!

Instead of getting dessert at The Eveleigh {Kingswood’s donuts are always a hit, so I’m assuming theirs were as well!}, we headed to Yogurt Stop. This place was hilariously delicious!

I mixed cake batter with their dolce flavors, swirled it up and dunked it with chopped almonds. It was really yummy and a “sweet” way to end an awesome day! Hikin’, Aussiein’, Fro-Yoin’!
