Some people say: “You’re never fully dressed without a smile!”… I say: “You’re never fully dressed without your Hanky Pankys!” Why, you may ask? Well, let’s start from the beginning. Over thirty years ago, designer Gale Epstein was inspired and created a lingerie set for her friend out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The final designs were so impressive from retailers to fashionistas that they were actually the inspiration behind the present company name, Hanky Panky.
Today, Hanky Panky continues to present innovative designs, comfortable products, and fabulous quality to their consumers. Including myself! I absolutely love their thongs, and wear them all day everyday – to meetings, working out, dinner parties, and to sleep…with their cute nightgowns! Although there have been a few “copycats” since Hanky Panky launched, I am still brand loyal to their pieces and always look forward to every collection launched.
Based in New York City, I was excited to attend a recent event called Hanky Panky DIY (Do It Yourself). This consisted of decorating thongs, instead of cupcakes, and putting our own creativity and style into action. It was such a fun event to meet the Hanky Panky team, to see the new collection, and to munch over Baked by Melissa and pink lemonade!
I love putting my creativity to the test, especially with throwing dinner parties, but unfortunately my own thong creation didn’t turn out to be the Michelangelo masterpiece I had hoped…John David Breen, Hanky Panky’s visual manager, was nice enough to compliment my thong though!
