Ready. Set. JETS.

The Fall is filled with so many exciting things…shopping for the perfect fall coat, Fashion Week, and my personal favorite: FOOTBALL. Since the football lockout is long over, and the pre-season has just begun, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to throw a party for the Jet’s first game in Houston! Whether you are cheering on the Jets, Patriots, or NY Giants, plan a party at your place that’s creative, yet simple, so you can actually watch the game without being in your kitchen the entire time. Here are my favorite essentials to throw a successful football party this Fall…Ready. Set. JETS!

I decided to have a color theme of white and green {for the Jet’s}, and made sure that the food choices matched the scene perfectly.

Go to M&M’s in Time Square or personalize your color selection online. It’s easy, and they look incredibly cute in champagne glasses!

Eataly’s Rustic bread {my absolute favorite!} topped with fresh Asparagus and Parmesan cheese with White Truffle Oil drizzled on top.

Whole Food’s guacamole and white corn tortilla chips.

Wasabi Peas

Celery and Garlic Naan bread paired with three dipping options: White Bean Dip, Spinach Artichoke Dip, and Classic Hummus.

As always, there may be a need for an alternate “gameplan” when hosting a crowd. When my guests arrived hungry and excited an hour before the game started, I began to fear my appetizers were not going to be enough for the night! So, I improvised and called Tappo {Vezzo’s sister restaurant} for two large delicious thin crust pizzas so there would be no growling bellies throughout the game! It was the perfect amount. Touchdown!

Greg McElroy in action!

We all had such a fun time cheering on the Jets and their new rookie quarterback, Greg McElroy, who truly showed how tough he is during his first game! This party was an excellent ‘kick-off’ to the season! B+H
