Southern Charm. Gluten-Free Class.

Splurging on warm chocolate chip cookies or that cheesy bread next to my salad? Those are luxuries I rarely do double-take on. But for some people, they strive to avoid all gluten enhanced products…all the time. Why? It’s called Celiac disease.

Since my knowledge with Celiac disease isn’t up to par, I decided to bring in my good friend, Dylan, who was diagnosed age two to share her tips on living gluten-free successfully:

What is the biggest challenge living on a gluten-free diet?

Spontaneity. For example, you can’t order a late night pizza! A challenge and benefit of living a gluten-free diet is a heightened sensitivity to ingredients. I am always checking food labels for gluten which makes me more aware of what I am eating.

Is it hard to gluten-free find foods on a menu while eating out? Do you have go-to dishes you like to make when you’re cooking at home?

In the past few years eating gluten-free has become much more popular. I find more and more restaurants offering a gluten-free menu. There are gluten free substitutes for everything. The best gluten-free products I have found are Udi’s breads, cupcakes, and cookies at Whole Foods. I would also like to give a quick shout out to the gluten-free pizza at Risoterria restaurant! Delicious.

Checking labels? Researching online if a product is gluten-free to give a friend? Leave it to So Lucky Gifts. Whether you want to give a great gift or just show someone you care, So Lucky Gifts is the way to go. Its easy. Its reliable. Its Southern charm…with some Gluten-free classiness!
