While recently strolling through the streets of Greenwich Village, I unexpectedly came across an amazing neighborhood gem. If their unique name, Sockerbit, isn’t intriguing enough for you to come in off Christopher Street, maybe their Scandinavian smågodis {“little candies”} housed inside will!
All white with a crisp clean-cut look, Sockerbit {which means “sugar cube”} makes their eclectic array of sweets {from strawberry pappardelle to yogurt covered museli!} the main focal point. Best part? All of their candies are free of transfats, colors from nature and free of genetically modified ingredients {GMO}.
Similar to 16 Handles where you can grab a cup {or in this case a white bag!}, Sockerbit gives you the authority to go around and fill it up with however.much.you.want! $3.25 per 1/4lb? Hola.

When I popped in with my gal pal, we were actually en route to my friend’s dinner party {if you haven’t checked out Dan’s blog called The Food in my Beard, you should! He’s a phenom cook!}. I decided to fill up a host bag of sweets for him to go well with all the mac and cheeses he had told me he was brewing up!
