Let Freedom Bling

What’s a better way to kick off your fourth of July than an amazing sweaty workout? These are my new favorite spots to hit up in Nashville to create room for all the Southern comfort food that’s yet to come this holiday!

Barry’s Bootcamp

After hearing amazing reviews from friends and seeing tons of celebs {Kim Kardashian to Amanda Seyfried, etc} being regulars over at Barry’s Bootcamp in NYC it was a must for me to go try it out a year ago! From the first time I walked into their Chelsea location, I was totally hooked. This workout created in Los Angeles and blowing up like crazy globally has been the perfect way to mix up my SoulCycle workout, and my favorite part is that everyday they focus on a different part of your body. For example, Monday’s are arms & abs, Tuesday’s are legs, butt & shoulders, Wednesday’s are chest, back & abs…well, you catch my drift! But with mixing up your workout everyday at Barry’s it keeps your body guessing and tones your whole figure. When I heard they were expanding to Nashville {they opened their doors a few weeks ago!}, my excitement swelled to the max with the thought of getting an amazing workout each time I visit home! But don’t expect an easy workout at this place, they will totally push you to your edge! And oh, you will feel so fabulous when you walk out!

Bikram Hot Yoga

After so much cardio, it’s important to stretch out those muscles and make them even leaner. That’s why I love Bikram yoga! A regular over at Bikram Yoga Union Square, it’s alway hard for me to adjust to “hot yoga” studios when I visit Nashville or various places because it’s honestly just not the same intense training! So when I heard that a new Bikram yoga studio was opening up in Belle Meade, I hopped straight off my plane from Manhattan and went over to check the place out. It’s amazing! With all of the amazing benefits that come with Bikram yoga {medical benefits to even eight hours of sleep!}, there’s no reason to not incorporate this workout into your lifestyle!

Joe Powers Fitness Group

Whenever I need someone to really kick my behind when I’m in Nashville, I immediately think of one name: Joe Powers. I always leave this man beet red, out of breath and eager for more! Combining cardio with weights to that big rope you throw up and down to the beloved TRX, Joe has got you covered. Best part? He creates a workout for you and your body depending on how you want your body to look! Thinking more of a slim bod? Maybe a little bulk in the arms? Joe will mastermind a bespoke-like workout to change your body where you see results even after the first session. My favorite is when he takes you to the stairs at the end of Belle Meade Blvd. on the weekends! Hola.

Hotbox Fitness

Although I’ve only gone to this place a few times, Hotbox down in the Gulch totally woke me up! Imagine a heated room where you’re barefoot, slipping in your own sweat while punching a huge black bag like a wild woman! That’s what you need to expect before you walk in here. It’s so awesome! But don’t forget to eat something before you walk into tone of those arms and upper bod!

Whether you’re in Nashville this week or not, kick off your holiday weekend sweaty fabulous this year!

Start blingin’ that sweat! B+H

Note: You know I rarely EVER speak negative about anything or anyone, but this is something I couldn’t resist sharing! Being a huge SoulCycle fan, I was beyond so thrilled to hear that a SoulCycle-like joint had opened up in Nashville. Itching to get over to Krank once I got home for the holiday, I can’t tell you how disappointed I was in a place that is trying to image themselves off the hottest cycling studio in NYC! They’ve got potential, but some major adjustments need to be made to even compare to SoulCycle or for me to put it on my list of places to workout in Nashville. The slick cement floors that house the bikes {injuries await for riders in cleets!}, little help setting up your bike {I needed my pedals to be tightened for me to click in and they didn’t have the equipment to do it…}, and a total beginner workout {barely broke a sweat!} plus having no “soul beat” during the entire hour ride just about put me over the edge!
