Mirror Out: Make A List & Check it Twice

Thanksgiving comes but once a year. And although it’s a time to come together, be thankful and catch up with loved ones, I’ve found it’s actually the only time out of the entire year where all of my childhood friends and family are together in Nashville for the Boulevard Bolt on Thanksgiving morning. So, it’s important to think ahead, schedule my “go-to” appointments before they’re all booked up, and to have everyone saying anything but “she has become quite unkempt up in NYC…”

Turkey Day is also an unofficial kickoff to the holiday season, and it’s the perfect time to get all beautified so you can be ready for any impromptu party invitation that comes your way! I love to hoard gift cards to all my favorite salons and spas until this time of year so I can use them to get buffed & puffed before I slide into my holiday attire. My potential appointments to schedule before the end of this week?

My Current NYC Go-To’s For All Things Beauty:

*Frederic Fekkai for a fluffed blowout {Pierre} and the eye brow tweeze in town {Victoria}
*City Sun Tanning for a bronzed glow {spray booth}
*Spa Boutique for mani & pedi to get spoofed & poofed {all technicians are fab}
*The Surrey Hotel for a signature facial and radiant skin {Yuli}

My Current Nashville Go-To’s For All Things Beauty:

*Cashmere Salonspa for a teased up blowout {Judy or Ashleigh}
*Private Edition for a perfect spray tan {Sydney}
*Trumps Salon & Spa for a manicure and pedicure that will last for days {Jennifer}
*Elan Skin for glowing facials and impeccable eye brow tweeze {Gwen}

You can bet I’ll have all my haunts lined up before I leave the JFK runway and into the one & only, BNA! And while I don’t have to accomplish the entire list posted above before Thanksgiving {only what is truly needed!}, at least I will be on the books during my time off from work in either city. So get your mirror out, make a list, and check it twice! B+H
