LIFELONG TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

In case you didn’t realize, it’s finally Friday! And oh, I am beyond ecstatic to hop on a plane after work tonight and head back home to the one and only, Music City. Why? Not only because the city is totally growing + thriving like never before, but one of my great friends growing up, Jack Eakin, and his fabulous señorita, Sarah Wideman, who I’ve become close with living in NYC, are officially tying the knot tomorrow. No big deal! Hola. But when it comes to last minute packing and carrying on {oh yes, I never get stopped for going over the liquid limit in the aeroporto!}, this girl always snags the simple travel essentials. And it’s the same when it comes to shopping, which is honestly a rare activity {believe it or not!}. I only buy pieces that are not only classic, but are lifelong stapes and will last forever. Bonjour!

The only three pieces I travel with? Oh darling…

1. The shades: My favorite bad boys that I plan on wearing years to come were found in Coppenhagen by my mama from Bottega Veneta. And trust me, when you throw on these angelic cat-eye street stoppers, it not only conceals any long work hours from the week, but turns any stressed frown right on upside down! Other favorites? These tortoise gems from Kate Spade do the same trick-a-roo.

2. The case concealing all things credit: I got this simple Chanel wallet a few years ago as a birthday gift and it honestly hasn’t left my side since! Can we say immediate side kick from SoulCycle classes to an evening of cocktail glam? It literally fits in anywhere.

3. The perfect fashionista carry on: When I was traveling a bunch for work a few years back, this was my main Romeo in my life. And oh, it’s lasted through it all! Not only is it the perfect weekender to carry on the Jitney or just a quick trip out to the Cape, but it will look fabulous forever…and ever. I never travel without it!

All in all, I choose to travel classically, yet minimally. Hola, Jackie O. And whether you’re staying in the city this weekend or plan on celebrating the love birds {like me!} tomorrow, I hope you have a safe trip wherever your traveling compass is leading you! B+H
