B+H Top Weekend Pick #2: Go-Diva into Chocolate

I rarely post anything on the weekend, but I couldn’t help but share this delectable place I dove into yesterday. The 14th Annual New York Chocolate Show in Chelsea {on 18th between 6th and 7th}! And guess what? It’s here until this Sunday, so scootchie tootsie on over!

Francois Pralus {owner and chef of Pralus}. He is one of the last French artisans to produce his chocolates bean-to-bar and to own a cocoa plantation!

Explore through a world of chocolate. This year’s line-up includes more than sixty participants {top chocolate companies, chocolatiers, award-winning chefs and authors}! And they are there to show you their best picks for the holiday season…plus, a bunch of free sweet samples? I couldn’t wait to share this scrumptious opportunity with you!

Valrhona representatives presenting!

They even have cooking demonstrations in their two Dacor Culinary Theaters on the hour to book signings in their Barnes & Noble bookstore! But, my favorite part was seeing the top chocolatiers present!

Florian Bellanger and Ludovic Augendre {the pastry chefs who founded Mad Mac}. Their French Macaron cookies are a must!

I had the best time talking to all of them and hearing their stories of how they fell into a career of chocolate!

Rhonda Kave {owner of Roni-Sue’s Chocolates on NYC’s Lower East Side}…loved their BeerCrunch!

In addition to New York and Paris, The Chocolate Show will be presented in Lille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Madrid, Marseille, Zurich, Cairo, Bahia, Moscow, Shanghai, Tokyo and six cities in Japan in 2011-2012…wooh!

My favorite station was Francois Payard’s booth. The presentation was just fabulous…not to mention his delicious chocolates!

So B+H readers, I hope that you have a fantastic weekend! Click here for tickets. It’s Chocolate Time!
