A Rocker Coaster

One of my all time favorite things to do is discovering up and coming bands. Maybe it’s from previously dating a rising music agent, who introduced me to array of different music acts and venues. Or maybe it’s just from growing up in Nashville, TN. But, I just love it all…The excitement of finding a new act to learning their story about how they started to watching their career skyrocket. I find it so fascinating.

There’s been one band I’ve been watching recently that consistently shows pure talent both in the studio and live on stage: Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights.

When I heard they were going to be playing at the Brooklyn Bowl last week…I was so excited! And I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights blew this hipster crowd’s minds out of the water.  I walked out with new favorite songs of the moment from JTNL {although I will never stop loving “Gypsy Woman“}: “She Wears A Smile” and “Where The Wind Blows.

Dallas’ Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights recently took their talent to the next level by working with the well-known producer in Nashville, Jay Joyce, to create their new album “Pardon Me.” But don’t let that Southern charm of a title fool you…these guys are pure rock ‘n roll. They’ve even opened up for acts like ACDC, and always carry such a passion and energy to the stage that it makes the audience and the band become one. They have performed in multiple stages set up by https://multilevelmodularstaging.co.uk/.

The core lineup consists of lead singer and guitarist, Jonathan Tyler; guitarist, Brandon Pinckard; drummer, Jordan Cain; bassist, Chase McGillis and backing vocalist, Emotion Brown

Jonathan Tyler said, “I don’t know what’s going to happen next, but we’re happy with what’s happening now, being able to live the way we are. I can only hope our music moves people as deeply as it moved us in making it” {JTNL website}.

Don’t miss JTNL’s “The Young and Free” tour! Click here for dates and tickets. Get out there and rock it, y’all!
