Sour Cream Lovin’ In The Oven

I remember those countless mornings waking up to the smell of my mom’s delicious baking. Especially around the holidays, there was one distinct smell that I remember the most: her sour cream coffee cake.

My mom acquired this yummy recipe from a good friend, Clark, back in her college years and it still wows our family in the mornings with its soft texture and incredible scent. It was always the perfect breakfast to wake up to…with a side of scrambled eggs of course!

But, long gone are the days where I get a hot breakfast served by my momma at home!  I’ve now taken this recipe to my own kitchen, perfected it (ex: I nixed the nuts!), and just love making it once the cold air blows in. But, on a recent trip back home to Nashville, my mom and I decided to make this hard to resist recipe together this time. And that’s exactly what we did this past Thanksgiving Sunday!

I tried my best not to munch while baking…I love this recipe!

It’s incredibly easy to make. Click here for the recipe! Not only is a sweet way to start off your morning, but it makes for the perfect holiday gift to any friend…for any situation!

Put a little sour cream lovin’ into the oven this holiday season. Bake a sour cream coffee cake…or two!
