An EB line for an EB girl

Finding a concealer? That’s a given for me…I always know that Trish McEvoy, Chantecaille or Giorgio Aramni can always save me from looking half dead. But when it comes to finding the right lipstick color? Well, other than knowing how to properly plump my lips, that’s another story for this girl.

Edward Bess

When I recently heard my mom and one of her best friends rave about how much they adored these fabulous lipsticks they had purchased from this hip guy at Bergdorf’s {their favorite: Deep Lust lipstick & Nude Satin lip gloss}, I couldn’t help but mosey on over and see the Edward Bess products for myself.

Some of the original lipsticks from the Edward Bess Lip Wardrobe

At the chic Edward Bess counter in Bergdorf’s last week, I learned it all started in 2006 with Edward just selling ten lipsticks and five glosses {called a Lip Wardrobe} at a tiny spot in the store. Through word of mouth and celebrities flaunting his beauty, Edward Bess has blossomed into an entire makeup line {he just introduced his first Black Sea skincare product too!} and a huge counter strategically placed in the most trafficked spot on BG’s lower level.

I met with Edward Bess, and we immediately hit it off with our Southern backgrounds (and our EB initials), I just fell head over heels for all of his products!

Edward was telling me that he is inspired by all things natural, and loves for his makeup to appear as if you don’t have any on at all. I couldn’t agree with him more {I love a solid natural look}, I’ve always been so hesitant to wear nude lips, which happen to be so “in” at the moment. When I told him about being hesitant of wearing nude lips, he glanced at his products with a look in his eye of “we are going to fix that…now.” And he most certainly did!

Edward’s picks for me?: “Pure Impulse” lipstick, “Natural” defining lip liner, “Endless Love” deep shine lip gloss

Edward Bess showed me how to create a nude lip that wouldn’t wash me out. How? If you pile various nude colors on top of each other you can make your own color scheme. We created a nude lip just for me that night. Hola!

I had the best time getting to know Edward, laughing galore, and hearing all about this chic brand. Let’s just say this EB girl will be prancing around with EB products from now on!
