It’s All About The Mini Things In Life

At recent W Magazine party during fashion week, I noticed the majority of the attendees were not only all about the over-sized Baked by Melissa gumball machine in the room, but were raving about how delicious these little bagel balls filled with cream cheese were…And yes, I’m talking about the models to designers to editors galore! Well, after trying them + going gaga over the simple + creative taste, it was a must I explored more into the world of Bantam Bagels. Hola!

Located on Bleecker Street in the West Village, this newly opened joint {three weeks tomorrow!} has already gotten the city talking + sending out mucho bagels to the top soirées in town…not to mention already being featured on the Today show + in the Wall Street Journal! Guilt-free carb indulgence? In!

Created by Nick + Elyse, after Nick literally thought of the killer idea during a dream, Bantam Bagels is satisfying customers with their daily made minis and creative flavor options. Nick told me: “anything you like to eat can be a bagel…sweet, savory…the options are limitless” – Best part? Even if you are craving sweet + salty, you don’t have to feel guilty about not eating the entire bagel over here. You just pop ‘n go!

While I was doing the B+H interview, their store was literally swamped with eager customers anxiously asking what Bantam Bagels was all about + after they immediately got onto the mini train, they each walked out with a bag of their gems by the dozen! What I love about Bantam Bagels: From morning to midnight {aka breakfast to cocktail party munch to late night fest}, these little ones can be used for any occasion + meal + party. My favorites?

When I asked Nick what his “of the moment” go-to was there, he told me the Weekend Brunch was the winner. My eyes flickered around wondering where these gems were! After he told me they were in the fridge since they’re filled with lox + all things refrigerator needed, I just had to snag one. So he popped it in the toaster {my favorite way to down these guys!} and handed it to one satisfied señorita. Ohhh la la!

One interesting fact I had no clue about before coming in and spending time with Nick + Elyse? It’s a must you “bite the hole!” – Otherwise, you’re going to have one lovely cream cheese fest everywhere! I’m fine…

oh hello, little one!
