Before All Things Gatsby Flappered On In…

Loving all things dancing, vibrant and my personal favorite, attention to detail, I was all over the release of The Great Gatsby movie last year. From the mucho champagne popping to the gorgeous costumes galore, I decided it was a must to recreate that mystical world in my flat, Casa Blanca. Hola! And after being incredibly inspired from the Minted products on their site, I decided this was the month to do it. Plus, perking up friends despite this crazy winter we’ve had? Totally needed! Minted was gracious enough to sponsor the party decor, and the products they sent matched perfectly with the color theme I had imagined: gold, silver and a touch of black. This soirée was well on its way! Bonjour.

The morning of this party called Cheers, Old Sports!, I got up super early to make sure everything was picture perfect before I left for work. Who wants to come home after a long day to set up a party? I’m fine! I time-managed everything to make sure all I had to do after work was: A. Get a blowout B. Do my makeup and C. Put on my party kicks! Hola.

I thought it would be fun for readers to see what the party details looked like in the daylight as well as in the evening, so I’ve decided to feature two posts today on the party. Hope you enjoy the glitzy pictures from a party ringing in all things roaring 20’s. And yes, yours truly did answer to the name Bakesby that evening.

three champagne towers in the center of the party were a huge hit

minted sponsored + sent these cute signs to be next to the nibbles

always sporting a southern flair, gatsby feathers were indeed placed into blanton’s bourbon bottles

the minted signs were supported by fun top hats for guests to take + sport around

minted confetti surrounding my champagne tub

the confetti works on any type of surface + accents any theme perfectly

little accessories were discreetly placed around the party for guests to add to their look

led lights were under every table to give a gorgeous look at night

oh yes, there was a red carpet in my hallway

this basket was placed outside my door by the red carpet for guests to grab a wine coaster as well as a balloon to blow up + add more decor to the party

the minted wine coasters were perfect for guests to put around the stem of their glass + to make sure they were indeed drinking their own poison

the last look of casa blanca before i left for work. i couldn’t wait to get home + finish before the clock struck eight o’clock!
