IZABELLA MIKO’S MIKOBUCHA

The New Year is all about new beginnings + chapters, new resolutions + forgiveness, and new health + mindful tactics galore…Hola! So why not take it to the next level this year, shall we?

I’m always so inspired {and motivated} by one of my best friends, Izabella Miko, out here in LA. We met back in the NYC days, instantly clicked, connected on favorite workouts, boys, beauty, and most importantly our health views + routines. Not only is this talented señorita beautiful inside + out, a professional actress {Coyote Ugly, anyone?}, radiates goodness beyond goodness, a killer artist {I have no doubt her canvases will be at LACMA by the end of this year}, a visionary candle maker {you can use her wax for lotion post burning for some extra olé moments}, but she even makes her own Kombucha. I REPEAT. Izabella makes her own Kombucha. And after she brought me a few bottles for hostess gifts to previous dinner parties, even I was officially hooked. Bonjour!

Obviously, I had to reach out and get the hydration deets for B+H! Well, each bottle is filled with her home brewed organic Kombucha {organic black tea + organic sugar, where the sugars and the caffeine are “eaten” by the SCOBY during the fermentation process}. Izabella even uses a 2nd fermentation process, during which she adds 5oz of pure cold pressed organic turmeric and ginger extract with raw, unpasteurized honey from her family’s bee farm in Poland. Umm…no big deal!  And don’t get me wrong, I’m all about buying kombucha from Whole Foods {that GT’s Lavendar Love flavor had me like “woah” back in 2015}, but I have to admit, there’s something different {and refreshing} about the brew Izabella concocts. And I’m not the only one. Previous dinner party guests can vouch the “omg” to “holy guac” comments post immediately sipping her brew!

All the vessels in which Izabella brews her Kombucha even have high frequency words on it like Love, Gratitude, Creativity, and according to the study by famed Dr. Emoto, words {and feelings} affect water, therefore “charging” what we drink with positivity will have a strong affect on us!

Best part? Izabella was sweet enough to give us better insight behind each bottle!

Tell us more {in bullet points, obvs} about MikoBucha. What makes it different, and your process to add that special touch of Miko love!

-I brew everything myself and closely watch the whole process.
-I use single batch process, meaning after each brew I clean out the containers and start fresh as supposed to “continuously brewing” where you keep adding more tea to the batch. During that process, you end up with older and newer Kombucha in one bottle, so some of it might have not fermented properly.
-I don’t use any chemicals in the cleaning process, but use acidic water to clean all the bottles, utensils and pots. I soak my turmeric roots and the ginger roots in ozonated water to kill any bacteria and enhance the flavor of the roots.
-Everything I use is completely organic bought from the farms not stores.
-The bottles I use are high quality Italian glass bottles that will hold the fizz for a long time.
-The honey that I use comes from a bee farm owned by my sister in law’s family. it’s is the most pure/raw honey that you can get and I know how much love and care these bees get, because I see it first hand.
-I use 2nd fermentation process to carbonate my Kombucha (create the fizz) instead of “forced carbonation” (mechanically adding Carbon Dioxide while a liquid is under pressure) which is what pretty much how all the companies carbonate their Kombucha

“It has been proved that water holds more energy and intention then any other form, and that’s why when I make my Kombucha, I surround myself with beautiful high frequency music. I think thoughts of love, gratitude and healing.”

Whether you’re looking for the perfect way to amp up your New Years health goals or just want to grab a bottle of MikoBucha yourself, then look no further than Izabella Miko’s creation. Feel free to email me or direct message the health Queen herself via Instagram for your own bottle of love! xx B+H
